Steven E. Hitchcock is the founder of Hitchcock Law Group and a specialist in elder law. As one of only a few attorneys in Florida who is both Board-Certified as an Elder Law attorney and who has an LL.M. in Elder Law, he is an expert in his field who focuses his practice on Special Needs Planning and Trusts, Medicaid planning, Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income, Veteran’s benefits, Trust Administration and the creation and administration of guardianships.

Mr. Hitchcock is originally from New York, where he earned a bachelor’s degree at Union University in Pharmacy. He worked for over 20 years as a pharmacist and continues to maintain his registration and licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Florida.

Mr. Hitchcock is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and is accredited to practice before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). He is a member of the Elder Law and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law (RPPTL) sections of the Florida Bar. He serves on the Guardianship Committee of the RPPTL section and has served in leadership positions with the Elder Law section for many years. In 2019, Mr. Hitchcock was elected Chair-Elect of the Elder Law section and will begin his term as Chair of the Elder Law Section in June 2020. In addition to his involvement with the Florida Bar, Mr. Hitchcock is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys and the Academy of Special Needs Planners.

In the community, Mr. Hitchcock serves on the Board of Advocare Trust, is a member of the Clearwater Bar Association and is a member of the Clearwater Yacht Club. He enjoys boating, playing tennis and spending time with his wife, Aubrey, and his rescue beagles, Misty and Charles Dwayne aka “Fuzz.”

MARTHA V. EVANS, ESQ.


Martha V. Evans is an Associate Attorney at Hitchcock Law Group who has been with the firm since 2015. She is a native Floridian who is originally from Miami, Florida and focuses her practice on elder law matters, including estate planning, asset protection, probate and the creation and administration of guardianships.

AUBREY POSEY, ESQ.


Aubrey Posey-Hitchcock is an Associate Attorney who joined the firm in 2017 after a varied legal career. At Hitchcock Law Group, she focuses her practice on elder law, specifically the creation and administration of guardianships, estate planning, and Medicaid planning. 

Ms. Posey-Hitchcock earned a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in social science education from Florida State University and taught middle and high school social studies for seven years in Southwest Florida before attending Stetson University College of Law. She received her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Stetson in 2005.

From 2006 through 2008, Ms. Posey-Hitchcock clerked for The Honorable Bradford L. Thomas at the First District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee. She then served as general counsel for the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program housed within the Department of Elder Affairs. While there, she gained invaluable knowledge of long-term care facilities and residents’ rights which she enjoys sharing with her clients.

In 2012, Ms. Posey-Hitchcock relocated to Clearwater to be near her husband, Steven Hitchcock. She worked for Tankel Law Group as an associate attorney representing community associations before joining him in practice.

She is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the Elder Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar. Ms. Posey-Hitchcock also serves on the Board of Directors for the Guardian Association of Pinellas County, Inc., is a member of the Clearwater Bar Association and the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

In her community, she is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin, a member of the Clearwater Yacht Club, is active in the local tennis community and supports Southeast Beagle Rescue from which she and her husband have rescued three beagles, Ginny, Misty and Charles Dwayne aka “Fuzz”, who’ve gone on to become, at least occasionally, office dogs. They frequently provide a foster home to other beagles in need of a short-term home.

Jeidy Beltran, Esq.

Jeidy is an Associate Attorney who joined the firm in 2020. She concentrates her practice on estate planning, trust and probate administration, guardianships, and Medicaid planning. Jeidy understands that these topics can be complex, as well as sensitive and emotional therefore, she utilizes an empathetic and educational approach when counseling her clients. 


Jeidy was born and raised in Cuba. She emigrated to the United States at the age of nine years old and has made Florida her home ever since. As a bilingual, Jeidy strives to make her practice accessible to Spanish speaking members of the community. 


In 2015, Jeidy obtained her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Florida. She earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2020 from Stetson University College of Law with a concentration in elder law. 


She is a member of the Clearwater Bar Association, Pasco County Bar Association, Tampa Bay Hispanic Bar Association, Elder Law Section and Real Property and Probate Section of the Florida Bar. 


In her spare time, Jeidy enjoys spending time with her fiancé and fur baby. You might also find her baking Cuban cakes and desserts, exercising, kayaking, traveling and playing pickleball. 


Rebecca Ledesma Bramble, Esq.

Rebecca is an Associate Attorney who joined Hitchcock Law Group in January 2023. Rebecca was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and is of Cuban descent.



Rebecca attended undergraduate school at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies and minored in Crime, Law, and Deviance. Rebecca attended law school at the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee. After obtaining her license to practice law in 2018, Rebecca worked as Assistant General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.


In 2019, Rebecca married her longtime boyfriend, Justin, and soon thereafter they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Olivia. Wanting to be closer to her family and friends, Rebecca and her family moved back to Florida. In 2022, Rebecca obtained her Florida license to practice law and briefly worked as a Family Law Attorney before changing her career path towards Elder Law.


Rebecca is an active member of the Clearwater Bar Association, Elder Law Section, and Real Property and Probate Section of the Florida Bar. 

Melissa Shafer, Esq.

Melissa  is an Associate Attorney at Hitchcock Law Group. She joined the firm in November 2022.


Melissa graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. Melissa then attended Stetson Law School, receiving her Juris Doctorate.


She is a member of the Clearwater Bar Association, the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Real Property and Probate Section of the Florida Bar, and Junior League of Saint Petersburg.

Allison Couri, esq.

Allison is an Associate Attorney who joined the firm in January 2023.


Allison graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a Minor in International Business. She received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law.

 

She is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Real Property and Probate Section of the Florida Bar, the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and the Junior League of St. Petersburg.

 

In her free time, Allison enjoys playing with her mini Goldendoodle, Magnolia, hanging out with friends, playing pickleball, running, and reading.
